This chunky knit cardigan came into being by default. I purposely didn’t take any knitting with me on a trip to Napier in New Zealand as I decided I would have a ‘real’ holiday. A few days in and my hands couldn’t stay still, and my sketch book was filling up with ideas. Napier cardigan is the unplanned result. This is a lovely, warm, cuddly, garment which looks good even without embellishment. Here it is knitted in two versions, five different colour stripes with patchwork and applique and two different colour stripes with pockets and applique.
